I like this. I think Redeye's advice for the Class of 2013 is good. Some of the points are relevant for (ahem) older grads and younger. I think I'll pass it along to my kids who are graduating from 8th grade this year.

I am completely intrigued by all of the things you can do with Legos, but can't put my knitting down long enough to pick them up. I am amazed at what this student has done with his Legos. I'm also impressed that he mows lawns on the side to finance his creativivty!

A Different Way to Dye Eggs - Use Silk Ties!

I tried this last year and was thrilled with the results! In addition to the traditional dip-dye technique, I'll dye a dozen or so eggs using silk ties.

Your source of ties can be thrift shops (my fave, tho they can be a little expensive), garage sales or cast offs from friends and relatives. The great thing is that ugly ties can give beautiful results! (Just make sure they're 100% silk)!
